Your style is a reflection of who you are. Our signature experience is designed for new clients ready to build a strong, authentic style foundation that supports both your wardrobe and personal brand.

Working with BU Style is a long-term investment in yourself, and this package is the first step toward creating a wardrobe that aligns with your lifestyle, goals, and self-expression. Together, you and your style strategist will take a thoughtful, intentional approach to defining your unique style in a way that feels authentic and empowering.

Once you book, this collaborative journey unfolds over 90 days, giving you the time and space to build a solid foundation. Because everyone starts from a different place, we’ve built in flexibility to ensure each step meets you exactly where you are—so you can move forward with confidence.

This foundational package is designed to be tailored to your unique needs, goals, and personal approach. By following our proven steps, we’ll create a style strategy that truly reflects who you are and how you want to show up in the world.

Great style takes time, and we’re here for the collaborative, thoughtful process of discovering what feels most authentic to you. This isn’t a quick fix—it’s the start of a fun, empowering, and rewarding journey toward a style that feels effortless and entirely you.

  • Before your first session, we’ll set you up with all of your BU Style resources, give you an online tour, and guide you in sharing your style needs and goals.

  • Review your current wardrobe with your Style Strategist to determine what to keep, tailor, or let go. This session refines your style direction and helps create your Strategic Shopping List (SSL) for intentional future purchases.

    —Appointment duration: up to 2 hours*

  • These steps are customized based on your needs. If you require more refinement and styling, we’ll continue with another Wardrobe Session. If new pieces are needed, we’ll shift focus to shopping—either in-person or virtually—to source items that align with your evolving style.

  • Bring it all together! Using new and existing pieces, we’ll create complete outfits tailored to your lifestyle, ensuring your wardrobe works cohesively and feels authentic to you.

  • After each session, your Virtual Wardrobe is updated. New purchases are added to your Virtual Closet, and styled outfits are uploaded to your Virtual Lookbook. You’ll have lifetime access and can easily view everything from your computer or smartphone.

Why do I need a Kickoff Call?

The Kickoff Call is an essential first step in your style journey, designed to set you up for success. Before your first session, we’ll guide you through onboarding and pre-work, including taking your BU Style Six assessment, which helps us understand your unique style approach.

During this call, we’ll introduce you to your Virtual Closet tool, walk you through the Strategize, Shop, Style process, and review all the BU Style resources available to you. You’ll also have the opportunity to start sharing your style needs, goals, and challenges, so we can tailor the journey to fit you from day one.

This conversation ensures that when we begin working together, you’ll feel prepared, supported, and ready to make the most of every session.

What is a Wardrobe Session?

Your first Wardrobe Session is a key part of the Strategize process, setting the stage for a wardrobe that feels aligned, intentional, and truly you. Your Strategize, Shop, Style package also includes the flexibility for multiple Wardrobe Sessions, allowing us to focus more on refining and maximizing your existing pieces for those who need less shopping.

During a Wardrobe Session, your stylist will evaluate your wardrobe for the current season, identifying which items to keep, tailor, or let go. But this isn’t just about fit and color—your lifestyle, personality, and style goals play a key role in shaping a wardrobe that works for you, not just on you.

By the end of each session, we’ll have greater clarity on what belongs in your wardrobe and why. Your Style Strategist will also build your Strategic Shopping List (SSL), ensuring that any future shopping is purposeful and focused on filling the right gaps.

How does the Shop process work?

Shopping is more complex than ever—between evolving trends, personal budgets, and unique wardrobe needs, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we offer customized, collaborative shopping experiences, both in-person and virtual, to help you navigate the process with clarity and purpose.

Finding the right pieces takes time, strategy, and patience. While we can’t guarantee we’ll check everything off your list immediately, shopping is about more than just the purchase—it’s about gaining insight into what works for you. Each step refines your style, sharpens your eye, and makes future shopping more intentional and aligned with your personal style.

Let’s approach shopping as a tool for discovery—so when the perfect piece does appear, you’ll know it instantly.

  • Your Style Strategist preshops based on your Strategic Shopping List (SSL), selecting pieces from boutiques, specialty stores, or department stores that align with your style goals. When you arrive, the curated selections will be ready for you to try on in person, with your strategist there to provide guidance, adjustments, and styling advice in real time.

    —Appointment duration: up to 90 minutes.* Need more time? You can combine two in-person Shops for a more extensive shopping experience

  • Your Style Strategist curates and pins selections to your Virtual Wardrobe based on your needs and style goals. Together, you’ll review and order the pieces in a collaborative session, with your strategist on call to make refinements as needed. Once the items arrive, you’ll try them on in person with your strategist, ensuring the best fit and styling before making final decisions.

What happens in the Style session?

The Style Session is where we bring your wardrobe to life. Your Style Strategist will put together complete outfits using both new and existing pieces, showing you how to make the most of what you own while integrating any new additions.

This session is about refining your style, building confidence in your wardrobe, and giving you a clear vision of how to put outfits together. Whether you need polished work looks, casual everyday outfits, or something in between, we’ll create combinations that feel natural, authentic, and aligned with your personal style.

Your Strategize, Shop, Style Deliverables

Following each session, your stylist strategist will update your Virtual Wardrobe. Your deliverables will contain the following:

  • Wardrobe purchases will be added to your Virtual Closet. 

  • Styled looks will be uploaded to your Virtual Lookbook. 

You will be able to access your Virtual Wardrobe directly from your computer or smartphone homescreen. Lifetime access is included


*The noted hours are specifically the client’s time investment. Also included in the package price is your style strategist’s prep and follow-up time, including research, pre-shopping, coordination with retailers, Virtual Wardrobe updates, and more.

How it Works:

  • Pay Online

    Buy only when you are ready. All virtual and in-person services are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. See our refund policy.

  • Schedule

    Following check out, your emailed receipt will contain a scheduling link and a unique “certificate code” to keep track of your package appointments.

  • Prepare

    Any specific preparation instructions for each appointment will be emailed to you.

  • We serve all clients within walking distance of the New York MTA subway system or PATH trains. Select stylists serve clients in the Tri-state area. For those clients, there is an additional fee of $150 per roundtrip.

  • We believe fashion should be accessible to all and style is deeply individual. We provide corporate style consulting as well as personal client shopping and styling services for men, women, and non-binary individuals in New York City and virtually.

  • For our personal clients, we understand every individual is different, and that is why we take the time to get to know you.

    Armed with nearly 15 years of knowledge and experience, our style strategists are able to work with you to build a wardrobe tailored to your needs by utilizing pieces you already own, strategically shopping for missing pieces, and showing you how to get maximum mileage from your closet.

    We are also continually expanding our offerings to further serve our clients' needs.

  • We understand how big of a decision this can be, and we don't take that lightly.

    We like to be strategic and determine where you should invest in pieces with a high cost per wear and where you should save.

    We want you to get maximum mileage out of your wardrobe. As trained image professionals, we use our technical knowledge and our cognitive approach to create your unique style brand.

    We believe in teaching you to purchase pieces that work for you so that you can make confident decisions.

  • Making wise purchases starts with a plan. We call it a Strategic Shopping List (SSL). It is a very specific list of your wardrobe needs agreed upon by you and your Style Strategist.

    Your SSL guides your Style Strategist in connecting you with retailers offering brands, styles, price points, sizes, and colors that best fit YOU.

    Why is a Strategic Shopping List useful?

    1. it eliminates repeat buying

    2. it encourages pairing new with old

    3. it reduces unnecessary spend

    Prior to any shop sessions, you will receive a link via email to review and approve your SSL.

  • Most call it a capsule, we believe a coredrobe makes getting dressed easy.

    A coredrobe are foundational pieces that can be layered and mixed to create a variety of outfits. There are no set rules or minimum quantities.
